Rowdy Games was founded in 2001 by two die-hard gamers, Stuart Schuman and Gerald Coffey, who had a specific goal in mind for their business: to create a company that caters to exciting games which bring out the fun in life. Based on that goal they developed a distinct company mission: to market exciting games and products which enliven and invigorate people's lives. Schuman and Coffey also have a vision for their company which is to create a community of like-minded gamers. Schuman and Coffey met in university and it was there that they both discovered they had a shared passion for gaming. Through countless hours spent on their hobby, both came to realize that gaming was not only a great way to relieve stress; it was also a great way to spend time with friends. Upon graduation, the two went their separate ways, only to wind up in Taiwan years later. Reunited in Asia, they quickly logged in numerous hours challenging each other to whatever game they could get their hands on. While in Taiwan, they both taught English for several years, learning the value games play in education. Both eventually ended up working in Taiwan's emerging computer industry where they learned how to develop products and how to market them internationally. It was during their time in Taiwan that the two came up with their initial concept for COUP de GRâCE. After numerous prototypes and intense testing, the final version of COUP de GRâCE came to be nearly five years after they originally envisioned the game. Initial consumer feedback was very positive and the prototype tested well not only with adults, but also with teenagers and children. Confident that they had a hit on their hands, Schuman and Coffey set out to manufacture the game and in 2002 began test marketing it in Tennessee, Rowdy Games' corporate headquarters. With the release of our first game, COUP de GRâCE, Rowdy Games has formally entered the market place. Our next move is to continue to create and market games that are suitable for the Rowdy Games logo. COUP de GRâCE is a 2-player combat board game designed to simulate a modern battle between two equal forces. COUP de GRâCE is fast-paced, easy to learn and very challenging. COUP de GRâCE pits commander versus commander, mano-a-mano, and focuses on applying players skills at resource management, troop allocation, attacking, defending and thinking on the fly. Fifteen unique scenarios have been crafted to put players' combat management skills to the ultimate test. Rowdy Games boasts a web site with additional scenarios. Customers can even come up with their own scenarios and submit them to Rowdy Games. If the scenarios are worthy, they'll be posted on the new scenarios page of our website. Click here if you have a scenario that you would like to submit. Once the test marketing has been completed, Rowdy Games will market COUP de GRâCE to the rest of the United States in 2003 followed by marketing it to targeted international markets in 2004. COUP de GRâCE is currently available online in the continental United States.
